Happy Birthday Starlets FC!

We can hardly believe it’s true, but our little club is one year old! Looking back it seems we’ve packed rather a lot in to the last 12 months, and if you’d told us at the beginning that even half of this would happen we’d have never believed you.

Having started with just a dozen girls and a single team, we’re excited to say we reach our first birthday with more than 50 girls signed to play for the club across 5 different age groups, far beyond our wildest expectations!

And if seeing all those smiling faces each week wasn’t enough, we’ve also managed to raise over £2,000 for charity, meet England’s Lionesses, win Coach of the Year and Club of the Year Awards, and achieved FA Charter Standard status all before our first birthday - and that’s without mentioning our celebrity supporters!

The first year of Stevenage Starlets FC has been an incredible ride that shows no signs of slowing down. We’re determined to maintain this amazing momentum and get even more girls playing the game in the years to come.

Of course none of this would be possible without the exceptional support we’ve had from all those who’ve helped us along the way. We thank you for everything you do and look forward to achieving even more together in future.

PS. We just had the perfect present. The day after our first birthday, our club’s first ever team completed our club’s first ever full season, and we’re delighted to say they’ve gone unbeaten across all of their 20 league matches!

Congratulations girls on an amazing achievement, we could not be more proud!
