Starlets FC Salute England's Lionesses

It’s fair to say Euro 2017 fever has taken over our club as everyone gets behind the Lionesses in their bid for glory in Holland. It’s been a huge inspiration for our girls to see England’s women finally get some of the coverage they deserve.

From our very own social media salute to the obsessive swapping of Panini stickers at training, we’ve never seen the girls so gripped by an international tournament and we have to say we love it – Go Lionesses!

Of course there’s one in our ranks who has taken it a little further than most. We couldn’t quite believe it when our very own Holly made it onto TV after being presented with a signed England shirt ahead of the France game!

It’s amazing to think how much of an impact this level of interest will have on the girls game (we’ve already had a noticeable increase in enquiries), hopefully inspiring even more girls to want to become the next generation of England players.

And who knows, maybe one day we’ll have a former Starlet to cheer on as they run out to represent their country – we can dream can’t we?
