Summer Tournament Success

After months of ‘football related’ activity (in other words setting up the club) it’s been great to get back to actually playing football, courtesy of a number of summer tournaments across Hertfordshire (and beyond).
From solid outings at Woburn and Royston, to a strong second place at Rayliegh, we've all covered some miles and the girls have really improved week by week, culminating in a fantastic first ever trophy for Starlets FC.
After an unbeaten run in the group, a nailbiting Semi Final won on sudden death penalties, and a brilliantly worked winner in extra time in the Final, we are hugely proud to be champions of the U10 Stotfold Juniors tournament.
As ever a fantastic effort from all the girls across both of our teams today, with everyone sticking around to offer such amazing support. We truly are a group that pulls together and this was a great reward for everyone’s hard work.
A historic day for our little club. With hard work and dedication going forward we hope this will be the first of many more successful days on the pitch. What a fantastic feeling and an incredible way to end the season!
